He is one of the most interesting pianists of his
generation in Russia.
He graduated from Moscow Conservatoire
after studying under Professor Sergei Dorensky.
In 1995 he became professor at the special piano
forum. He has been a prizewinner of the various
competitions including those in Vienna (Beethoven
Competition, 1985), in Santander (Paloma O’Shea,
1986), and in Dublin (1991).
He conducts a wide range of concert activities
in Russia and abroad and has recorded a number
of CDs with programs of Chopin, Schumann,
Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Scriabin, Schostakovich,
as well as giving master classes in the USA,
Japan, Germany, Italy, Yugoslavia, Republic of
Korea, and Russia.
Since 2005 he has had the title of Merited Artist of Russia.
