T he purpose of the Conference is to review the current state of the pre-college music education in different spheres and branches of education, observe a variety of teaching methods, schools and practical results, summarize modern tendencies in teaching of playing musical instruments (technical level, artistic level, presence of motivation and its quality, methods of teaching etc.) and in music theory and ear training. The program of the Conference includes reports and statements on announced subjects, as well as discussions and round-table conversations regarding problems of musical education in schools and colleges, analysis of educational programs, content and methods of teaching, and its results.
