The exhibition of paintings by St. Petersburg artists:
‘MUSIC OF COLOURS’
The exhibition of the same name had great success during
the St. Petersburg Tercentennial celebration three years ago.
The paintings of prominent Petersburg artists provoked the interest
of musicians, especially of art colleges’ students.
Special attention towards the exhibition was shown by the late
composer Andrei Petrov, who gave the event its name — Music of
Colours.
The exhibition opened in the Conservatory as part of the Festival
and demonstrates that the oldest musical educational institution
of Russia not only conserves and develops traditions of musical
culture, but also remains a centre of modern art which welcomes
masterpieces of different styles and genres.
The exhibition is participated in by Irina Birulya, Nadezhda
Anfalova, Erwin Vilensky, Liudmila and Alexander Kondurovs, Natalia
Tsekhomskaya.
The highly professional level of the works presented is a guarantee
of the success of the exhibition, which creates a very special
atmosphere of the coupling of two arts — painting and music.
Curator of the exhibition — Zhanna Vilenskaya
