Josep BORRAS (bassoon)


Born in Terrassa, Borras has a diploma in the bassoon from the Conservatory in Basel and is currently finishing his doctoral thesis on the organogical research of the bassoon (baixo)? and of the Iberian wind instruments of the 17th and 18th centuries at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

As a performer, Borras has formed part of the Orquestra de Cambra del Teatre Lliure and is currently one of the components of the groups led by Jordi Savall.

He has performed with many chamber orchestras and is Titular professor of the bassoon and chamber music at various conservatories and national and international seminars, he has also published papers and research.
