A violinist and violist living in Barcelona since 1985,
he is a collaborator with concerts and recordings of
personalities of the world of early music such as Leonhardt,
Kuijken, Bijlsma, Herreweghe and Bruggen, and is considered
one of the greatest specialists in Spanish music of the 17th and
18th centuries. He studied the violin with his father and with
Enrique Garcia Marco, whilst continuing the rest of his musical
learning at the Conservatori Superior de Musica de Madrid, along
with his studies in Philosophy (licentiate) at the Universidad
Complutense in Madrid. He subsequently studied musicology
(doctorate) at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.
He was awarded a grant by the Swiss government, and obtained the
Soloist Diploma in Historic Violin of the prestigious Schola Cantorum
Basiliensis (Basel). |
