B orn in London, he is a descendant of
the famous Russian theatre reformer
Constantine Stanislavsky. Now, at the age of 13,
he is well known as a talented composer, singer
and instrumentalist.
He made his debut at the age of 10 in Covent
Garden and has performed on the greatest
stages of the world, including the Royal Albert
Hall; Royal Opera, London; Carnegie Hall, New
York; Kremlin Palace of Congresses, Tchaikovsky
Concert Hall, Moscow.
He began creating his own compositions
at the age of 8 and a year later was admitted
to the Royal College of Music. Now he studies in London with
Dmitry Smirnov, a pupil of Edison Denisov. In Russia he is tutored
by the Rector of the Conservatoire, Professor Alexander
Tchaikovsky.
One of the most recent works by A. Prior, a piano concerto dedicated
to St. Petersburg, has been performed in the State Capella.
