The Ensemble was founded in 1996 by graduates from the St. Petersburg Conservatoire.

All the participants are now soloists of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.

The repertoire includes classical music, from Bach to Schostakovich, as well as modern works composed especially for this group. When compiling concert programmes, the performers pay special attention to masterpieces of Russian music — those of Glinka, Borodin, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky.

Russian and foreign press point to the “excellent and dynamic sound” of the Ensemble, “all forces and energy concentration when playing, highest level of performing techniques”.
