He is a professor at the faculty of
special piano at the St. Petersburg
Conservatoire from where he graduated in
1988 (studied with Professor A. Ugorsky),
then he was a student on special course by
Professor T. Kravchenko.
In 1991 he took First Prize at the Viotti
competition in Italy, Diploma of the Prokofiev
competition and complimentary prize in
Germany. As a participant of St. Peter-Trio, the
Neva Trio and St. Petersburg Chamber Players
he has toured Russia and abroad.
Not only has he recorded six solo CDs,
but as the ensemble player has also recorded a number of programs
included works by Schnittke and Piazzolla played alongside with
Mstislav Rostropovich.
